Ghana and Maritzburg United striker, Yakubu Mohammed, will sit out the big match up with Kaizer Chiefs at the Soccer City Stadium as he nurses a niggling injury.
The former AshGold striker made a memorable start at his new club, scoring the only goal of the match as Maritzburg United defeated Polokwane City 1-0 at the Harry Gwala Stadium on 3rd August.
He has gone on to chalk three full appearances for his side.
But he will now miss one of his biggest game yet due to some pains he is experiencing.
Speaking to agoronet.com, Yakubu expressed his hurt at missing the big game but was positive he will return strong.
"There is this pain I am nursing and it will take me out of our crucial game [against Kaizer Chiefs]. But inshallah, I will be available next week."
