In what has become increasingly embarrassing for Italian football, former Serie A champions AC Milan has been ordered to play their next game behind closed doors. This follows their match against champions Juventus during which racist abuse by Juventus fans was directed towards the Ghanaian player, Kwadwo Asamoah and French midfielder, Paul Pogba.
The Milan club lost the game by 3 goals to two with their Ghanaian midfielder, Sulley Muntari scoring two goals.
The Italian Football Federation (FIGC), in accordance with UEFA rules, has thus imposed these sanctions on AC Milan, who will now play their next game against Udinese behind close doors.
