Aduana fans unhappy with AshantiGold draw

By Edmund Bobie

Aduana Stars face heavy criticism from the fans, following a poor performance against Ashantigold in the Matchday 8 games of the Ghana Premier League (GPL).

Ashantigold, forced Aduana Stars to a 1 – 1 draw at the Agyemang Badu Park, in Dorma.

Some fans expressed their disappointment over the outcome of the game and Agoronet picked up a few reactions after the game.

Mr Godwin, a business man, said they were lucky to have escaped defeat after failing to convert their chances.

“We have not been playing well lately, today the players played poorly especially in the second half. Coach Sarpong must sit up or else he will face the sack soon”. He further added, our strikers too can’t seem to get in the goals.

Another fan (decided to stay anonymous) called on the coach and his technical men to work hard in conditioning the players.

“They appeared to be tired in the second half; our defenders, midfielder’s and strikers have to train more, if we want to compete for the title we have to do better than today’s performance”.

A fan who appeared very angry asked for the immediate sack of the head coach.

He said “how can we lose 4 – 2 to Liberty and come and draw here at home, I think is time our coach is sacked”.

Aduana Stars lie 9th on the League standings with 11 points form eight games. They travel to face King Faisal at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
