This Sunday will be what fans of the game has come to know as Super Sunday with all Top 4 teams of the Premier League billed to play each other as the league enters its ninth week.

As the league race takes shape, this weekend matches could prove a huge determinant as leaders Kotoko, their rivals Hearts face title aspirants Hearts of Lions and Ashgold in tricky encounters. Top of the weekend pack will be at the Obuasi Stadium when in form Hearts of Oak visit the miners. Coach Duncan’s team has been putting great displays so far in the league with the likes of Winful Cobbinah, Selasie Adjei  and the Ivorian import Robben Gnegne delighting the Phobian fans. Ashgold also have a perfect record at home this season and still remains the only undefeated side in the current season. Their CEO, Mr Kudjoe Fianoo has sworn they will amass all 3 points and with newly acquired Emannuel Baffour, Emannuel Osei and Coach Bashiru Hayford , it seems achievable. Spectators are treated to quality football each time the two sides meet and spectators on Sunday can expect nothing less.

Kpando has always been a difficult trip for Kotoko and Sunday, the league leaders will be in for another when they meet Hearts of Lions. Lions are 4th placed and coming from a loss to Edubiase are aware that if they could keep the chase for the league title, nothing short of a win will be desired. Helegbe could return for Kotoko but with Nana Egyir, former Kotoko captain Edmund Owusu Ansah in the Lions midfield it will be a battle of wits at the center of the pitch.

Faisal’s chances of staying in the league will be tested on Sunday as they welcome Aduana Stars. The Dormaa side are poor travellers but with discontent increasing in their camp, they will put in a fight at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.  A slim win looks to be on the cards for each of the side.

Giant killers, Bechem United  were brought down to earth  by Amidaus at the Tema Stadium on Wednesday and as Hasaacas come to Bechemthis Sunday, they will look to restore some pride for their fans. Hasaacas are yet to record an away win and Sunday most likely will not be when they start.

Football artistry will be displayed at the Accra Stadium on Sunday when two sides playing fine football in the current league, Liberty and Edubiase meet. Both sides have produced skillful dispalys but has not got enough points to show for it and with Liberty having home advantage, they are likely to take all points on the day.

Wa All Stars travel to Tarkwa to face Medeama who are enjoying a new breeze under restore manager Augustine Adotey. All Stars always baffle analysts with their fantastic home displays but poor away performances and as Medeama looks to banish their bad run, they are poised to make it 2 out of 2 home wins on Sunday.

Inter Allies made their intent of a league stay clear on Wednesday with their performances against Bechem.  It will take them a notch higher to convince fans of this intent and Sunday is the opportunity as they go to Berekum to face fellow strugglers, Berekum FC. The Berekum team has been unusually poor this season amidst calls of bad refereeing from their officials  and they will be without Captain Abdul Basit who was sent off in their last match. Any poor results and they could stare relegation right in the face.

Amidaus will kickstart the weekend round of matches when they host Dwarfs at the Tema Stadium on Saturday. Amidaus are expected to also maintain their good home run against Dwarfs who are bad away performers.
