Technical handlers of current league leaders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been hit with a major blow as leading striker, Yahaya Mohammed has been confirmed ineligible for their upcoming weekend top clash with regional rivals Ashgold.
Mohammed is suspended due to accumulated yellow cards in the season for which the rule stipulates he serves a match ban. The former Amidaus loaned player who returned to his parent club, Kotoko at the start of this season has not recaptured his scintillating form from last season but has featured in most of the Porcupine Warriors’ league matches.
His absence adds a further blow to the defending champions worry in their striking area with his other partner, Seidu Bancey still on the treatment table. Kotoko comes face to face with Ashgold in matchday 11 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
