The GPL enters its eleventh week with crucial fixtures at the various league centres. Teams will be gearing up as the title looks in reach.
League leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko, go head to head with regional foes, Ashantigold at the Len Clay Stadium, the tie looks is set to be a tricky for both teams.
Ashantigold, who are propping behind the Champions on the table, will be looking to make the most of home advantage as they go in search of a win after struggling against Edubiase FC. Leading goal scorer for the miners, Emmanuel Osei will be seeking to add to his tally against a resolute Kotoko defence.
Coach Didi Dramani, will miss the services of arrow head Yahaya Mohammed through suspension. The burly striker is suspended after accumulation of cards, another casualty is front man Seydou Bancey, who is still nursing an injury.
Accra Hearts of Oak have a tough task on their hands as they visit Amidaus Professionals at the Tema Stadium. Expect Amidaus to take advantage of the game after their weekend’s victory over Aduana Stars. With players like Daniel Gozar, Daniel Awuni and Illiasu Fuseini fans should anticipate a delightful game.
Hearts of Oak will be looking to bounce back to winning ways following their narrow home draw against King Faisal, the Phobians have picked up just a single point in a possible six.
Bottom side Inter Allies, face off with in – form Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park. Coach Herbert Addo, will relish a second win for his side in the campaign. Liberty will however be relying on their decent home record against a struggling Inter Allies side.
King Faisal will lock horns with Edubiase FC at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. Edubiase, after beaten Ashantigold, will be looking to build on their quest for top flight survival.
Fourth – placed Heart of Lions, who defeated Inter Allies are home, to Sekondi Hasaacas. Lions will be hoping to continue their impressive form in the campaign. For Hasaacas a visit to Kpando will be a tough test of character.
All eyes will be on the Golden City Stadium to see whether FC Brekum can prevail against the giant killers, Bechem United. FC Brekum, have struggled this season, and will be hoping to move from the bottom three. Bechem United will be looking to get a good result from that game.
Wa All Stars, will make a long trip to the Robert Mensah Stadium, in Cape Coast, to take on Ebusua Dwarfs. This game is a mid-table clash and a win for All Stars will see them level on points with Dwarfs. Dwarfs however, will fight for a win to keep their title challenge on track.
Fifth – placed Medeama should get a win over Aduana to brighten their top four chances. Aduana will need a win to ease of pressure from their fans, after recent poor performances.
