Hearts players fined for insults

Three players of former league champions, Accra Hearts of Oak have been fined for verbally abusing referee Yaw Ametepe and his assistants Joseph Sey and Samuel O. Boateng. The players are; Kwaku Andoh, Selasie Adjei and Emmanuel Hayford.

A statement in a served letter to the club read: “In accordance with 35(3)(c), Players, Kwaku Andoh, Selasie Adjei and Hayford Emmanuel of Hearts of Oak are hereby fined Gh¢ 500.00 each.”

It will be recalled that Hearts of Oak lost to Ahgold in their ninth week encounter played at Obuasi by a lone goal in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
