Asante Kotoko Faithfuls Congratulates the Black stars

The rapidly growing social media based supporters group of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC known as the Faithfuls are the latest of many well-meaning Ghanaians to express delight at the qualification of the Black Stars to next year's Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

In a congratulatory message sent to the senior national team, the group regarded as the Think-tank and an affiliate of Kotoko's main National Circles praised the team for a job well done.

Below is the full letter from Faithfuls.

I am excited to, on behalf of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Faithfuls, extend warm greetings and to present our sincere and wholehearted congratulations to the Ghana national team, the Black stars, for successfully booking a place at the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil.

With unparalleled strength and confidence, you braved the storm of a torturous qualifying journey to not only reach the goal of picking a spot for next year's mundial but also to reward the faith entrusted in you by the nation with the joy and smile you have sowed in our hearts.

This commendable feat of a 3rd successive World Cup berth is yet another reminder of the Ghanaian's ability to attain excellence when given the opportunity and the needed support as evidently seen with the appointment of Kwesi Appiah as head coach.

As a supporters group affiliated with the National Circles of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, we believe our expression of gratitude to you is one that resonates with every Ghanaian. We say "ayekoo" to our gallant men of players, technical officials, management team, the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the honor done us.
Seeing this as only the beginning of the attainment of a greater glory, and as a sign of absolute confidence in your ability, we urge you on and assure you of our complete support going into the tournament proper. Go Ghana!

Once again, we wish you hearty congratulations.

Yours Sincerely,

Yaw Amo Sarpong

(President of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Faithfuls)
