Polo confirmed as Hearts Manager

Accra Hearts of Oak legend, Mohammed Ahmed Polo has been confirmed by the Hearts management to the dismissed Coach David Duncan.

Polo, who plied his trade for the Phobians in the 70's has been tasked with handling the team for the rest of the season and will handle his first league match on Sunday when Hearts meet Dwarfs.

The Club announced this in a statement that read: “Accra Hearts of Oak has appointed one of its legends, Mohammed Ahmed Polo as its new manager. He replaces David Duncan with whom the club parted ways some weeks ago.“Polo’s appointment as Hearts manager will last till the end of the 2013/2014 football season after which it could be reviewed.

“Mohammed Polo is expected to start his career as Hearts manager within the week and would be in charge of the team during the upcoming week­13 Premiership game against Dwarfs at Cape Coast.”

Hearts lie second on the league, four points adrift leaders and rivals Kotoko in the on-going league.
