Bennard Yao Kumordzi scored a goal to send his side into the round of 32 stage of the Europa League. He and other Ghanaians are profiled in this round-up.

 

UEFA Champions League

Jordan Ayew played 57 minutes of Olympique Marseille's 0-2 away loss to Arsenal on Tuesday. Andre had just undergone a knee surgery a day before.

Kwadwo Asamoah played the entire game as Juventus recorded a 3-1 home win over København on Wednesday.

Frank Acheampong came on in the 55th minute of Anderlecht's 2-3 home defeat to Benfica on Wednesday.

 

Europa League

Bennard Yao Kumordzi (87 minutes) scored Genk's second goal as they came back to beat Dynamo Kyiv 3-1 at home on Thursday.

David Addy played the entire game as Vitória Guimarães played a 0-0 away draw with Rijeka on Thursday.

Lee Addy played 90 minutes of Dinamo Zagreb's 1-2 away loss to Chornomorets on Thursday.

Davidson Drobo-Ampem (90 minutes) helped Esbjerg to a 2-1 home victory over Daniel Opare's Standard Liège on Thursday. Opare did not feature.

 

 

England

In the League One, Prince Buaben came on in the 58th min as Carlisle United beat Abdul Osman's (90 minutes) Crewe Alexandra 2-1 at home on Tuesday.

 

Romania

In the Liga 1, Sulley Muniru lasted 75 minutes in CFR Cluj's 0-0 away draw with Brasov on Monday.

 

South Africa

In the PSL, Edwin Gyimah played the entire game as SuperSport United lost 1-2 at home to Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday.

Mohammed Awal (90 minutes) and Yakubu Mohammed (on in the 66th min) played in Maritzburg United's 0-1 home loss to Orlando Pirates on Wednesday.

 

United States of America

In the MLS, Khalif Alhassan came on in the 1st minute of 1st half extra time as Portland Timbers lost 0-1 at home to Real Salt Lake on Monday.
