Charles Taylor's was emotional and energy sapping and Kofi Abanga's was one of a dragging tale of betrayal. However you look at it, one thing is for certain that indeed, Kumasi Asante Kotoko knows all about fighting long transfer battles and their quest to secure the service of New Edubease's midfield dynamo, Asiedu Attobrah is no different.
The saga continues unabated as our checks reveal that the Bekwai side look set to reject Kotoko's latest offer of Gh¢70,000 and, perhaps in an attempt to remind the Porcupines of why no deal has been agreed early on yet, splash a counter offer of Gh¢80,000 which is believed to be the least price at which Attobrah will be let go. Attobrah is also reported to be quoting figures between Gh¢30,000 and Gh¢40,000 as signing on fee which if agreed upon, will certainly impact the coffers of the Ghana league champions.
The highly rated player who has also attracted bids from other foreign and local clubs including Hearts of oak has been a long standing target of Kotoko who are looking to beef up their squad in anticipation of a tough mix of local and continental league challenge.
With the transfer deadline on the horizon, you can bet this won't be the last you would hear of this.
