Charles Asampong Taylor has said, he will only return to the pitch once he is fully fit.
Charles Taylor a household name in Ghana football has been off the radar for some time now, seeking solutions to his problematic leg injury.
The playmaker who is currently a player of FC Berekum is yet to feature for the side in the league campaign.
“I am not in any state to go on to the pitch at the moment. This is the second operation I have undergone and I am working hard every day. Once i hit top fitness, I will make a return to the field'', he was quoted as saying in an interview with local radio station Asempa FM.
Taylor has been on the side-lines for some time, he has featured for Accra Hearts of Oak, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and once featured for the local Black Stars team at the CHAN tournament.
The player said he was approaching his recovery and admitted there had been difficult moments.
“By God’s Grace am doing much better, I feel much better now. I can now train for close to two hours without feeling any pain. I have been in Osino where I have have been undergoing further treatment.
''The situation is very clear in my mind. I first have to look after myself completely and be back to full fitness, he added.
