Ghana sealed qualification for its third straight World Cup to be hosted in Brazil next year. The feat is historic, as it is the first time the Black Stars have qualified for the mundial under the guidance of a local coach.
Legendary coach and former chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Ben Koufie commended the gaffer in an interview with local radio outfits Asempa FM.
''We must commend Kwesi Appiah, especially for the teams display in the final qualifier against Egypt. He lined up a formidable back four in the absence of his regular center backs, he knows his weakness and will work on them'' he said.
''The Black Stars are also scoring more goals under Kwesi Appiah, averagely 2 goals per game and it’s an improvement. Kwesi Appiah, the man on the spot knows what he is doing'' he further added.
Ben Kuoffie under whose tenure as chairman of the GFA saw the development of the Ghanaman soccer center among other things, plays a crucial role in football development in the country.
