Black Maidens draw tough group for World Cup


The national under -17 female team, Black Maidens have been drawn in a tough group with Germany, Canada and North Korea at next year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The Black Maidens are making their fourth straight appearance at the competition and will play their opening group game against North Korea on 15 March 2014.

They will then face Germany in the second fixture on 18th of March then climax the group phase against Canada on the 22ndof March 2014.Ghana defeated Germany to win bronze at the 2012 edition in Azerbaijan

Ghana, Zambia and Nigeria are representing the continent at the competition in Costa Rica next year.

Group A: Costa Rica, Venezuela, Italy, Zambia

Group B: Ghana, North Korea, Germany, Canada

Group C: New Zealand, Paraguay, Spain, Japan

Group D: Mexico, China PR, Colombia, Nigeria
