MTN FA CUP: Hearts in trouble, Medeama, FC Berekum triumph

Accra Hearts of Oak’s dream of winning the MTN FA Cup ended after a 2-1 loss to second-tier side Bibiani Gold Stars.

Mohammed Polo’s men have struggled to find consistency domestically in their last three games. The Phobians have now lost two-straight competitive games.

Reigning champions Medeama SC progressed into the next round following a 2-1 win over Star FC in Koforidua on Saturday.

Premier League representatives, Ashantigold, Liberty Professionals, FC Berekum and King Faisal have all progressed into the next round following victories in their respective games. However, Dwarfs, Heart of Lions and Amidaus Professionals were knocked out of the competition.
