Ghana Black Stars and Rennes defender, John Boye, has said that he is fast on the road to full recovery.
It will be recalled that Boye agravated his injury when he decided to play through pain in the World Cup qualifier against Zambia on September 6, which Ghana won 2-1. He went on to captain the team in a friendly against Japan on September 10 as part of the 2013 Kirin Challenge cup at the Yokohama International Stadium in Kanagawa. Ghana lost 3-1.
Boye has since been unable to feature for his club and country and even complained about the injury causing his inability to walk.
But a beaming Boye, who was a guest at Isaac Cofie's wedding, spoke to Agoronet.com about how he is regaining fitness.
"It was tough [the injury] but I'm getting better now. I started light trianing some weeks ago and I recently started training with the team. I believe in a month or two I will get the opportunity to start playing regularly again."
Boye made only one appearance for his club this season before suffering the injury.
