Midfielders dropped from the Ghana squad

Maxwell Konadu has cut two midfielders, Moro Abubakar (Hearts of Oak) and Edmund Owusu Ansah(Heart of Lions) from his final 23-man squad for the African Nations Championship - CHAN that kicks off in South Africa next week.  

Joshua Otoo (Wa All Stars) and striker Richard Gadze (Ebusua Dwarfs) were also sent home from the Ghana squad. 

Maxwell Konadu possesses significant depth in his squad, with the top three scorers in the league Seydou Bancey, Sulley Mohammed and Samuel Afful all making the squad for the competition.

Ghana are based in Windhoek, Namibia and will later travel to South Africa where they will face Libya, Ethiopia and Congo in Group C.
