After a very long break, the excitement the GPL brings will be felt again. The second round of the GPL kicks start tomorrow, Wednesday 4th February 2014, at the various league centres.

Clubs were allowed to make additions and deductions to their squad during the recess and what these games will do is to offer us a yardstick as to whether the coaches have really been able to institute real change in their teams.

The clubs will have further boost as the Football Association signed a deal with First Capital Bank as sponsors of the Premier League.

League leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Medeama SC and Dwarfs will not be engaged in the mid-week fixtures due to their involvement in the CAF Club-competitions over the weekend.

Hearts of Oak v. Wa All Stars

After their 3-0 spanking at the hands of All Stars, the Phobians will certainly have revenge on their minds. The Hearts of Oak faithful’s will be expecting an improved performance from Coach Mohammed Polo and his charges.

For All Stars, a double over the Phobians will certainly be a morale boost ahead of other games.

Still deciding who to tip? Will the Phobian side improve or will All Stars maintain their improvement?

New Edubiase v. Aduana Stars

New Edubiase will welcome familiar foes, Aduana Stars to the Bekwai Gyamfi Park.  After failing to impress - and score very often – the side from Bekwai looked a shadow of their former selves in the first round, a win against Aduana will certainly kick start their road to redemption.

Aduana will need a win to ease of pressure from their fans, after poor strings of performances, a win will also see them crawl away from the bottom half of the table.

Hasaacas v Amidaus – Essipong
All eyes will be on fifth placed Hasaacas as they lock horns with the ''harbour boys'' Amidaus Professionals, at the Essipong Sports Stadium. Expect the ''doo boys'' to dominate proceedings, having carved a good niche at their favourite home grounds. For Amidaus a visit to the Essipong Stadium will be a tough test of character.

Heart of Lions v Liberty - Kpando
Liberty Professionals will make a long trip to the ''Lion’s den'' in Kpando to see how well they can prevail against the Lions. Hearts of Lions will need a good result to fully welcome new bankroller, Mr Randy Abbey, it will also be an opportunity to enhance their top four chances.

Bechem v King Faisal – Bechem

With just a point separating the two sides, Bechem United will rely on their home advantage against an improved King Faisal. It’s reasonable to think King Faisal might still be a little unorganised - but they face perhaps the most organised team in the competition
