Wa All Stars continued to be the nemesis of Accra Hearts of Oak this season, following a 3-0 thrashing at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Samuel Boateng struck on 2 minutes after a good lay off in the penalty box; it remained 1-0 at the interval. Abdul Ganiyu scored a screamer mid-way into the second half to make it 2-0 for the visitors.
Hearts of Oak regrouped, Coach Mohammed Polo introduced Ollenu Ashitey and Kofi Abanga but their introduction could not thwart the dominance of the Wa lads.
Paul Asare De Vries completed the scoring in injury time with a header leaving the Phobians distract.
The win will be All Stars second successive victory over Hearts of Oak this season, first encounter ended 3-0.
Kpando Heart of Lions put themselves firmly in the top four picture with a dominant 2-0 win over Liberty Professionals at the Kpando Stadium.
The attacking force of Lions proved a handful for the Dansoman based team from start to finish; Kwadwo Poku’s scored in the first half to give Lions the advantage, the dominance continued after recess. Isaac Quansah made it 2-0 finishing off a good move.
New Edubiase got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Aduana Stars, ensuring an improvement in their mid-table status. Nuhu Fuseini scored the only goal of the day in the second half.
The result leaves Aduana languishing in the bottom half of the league log.
Hasaacas and Amidaus served up an entertaining scoreless draw game at the Essipong Sports Stadium. Both sides failed to capitalise on opportunities created in both halves. However, Hasaacas remain 5 points ahead of Amidaus on the league log.
Bechem United were victorious at home over King Faisal. The ‘’giant killers’’ continued their fine home run with a 2-0 win. Noah Nortey and James Papa Yaw were the heroes on the day.
