The national under-17 women team, the Black Maidens, suffered losses to their Nigerian counterparts in a two-legged international friendly.
The Black Maidens, who trailed 3-1 from the first leg lost 2-1 on Sunday to their rivals in the return game played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Nigeria took the lead in the 5th minute through Aku Cynthia Onyedikachi, the Flamingoes ended the first half with a 1-0 advantage.
But the Maidens pulled even through Lilly Niby who capitalized on a defensive mix-up to score. Ajibade Rashidat scored the in the 83rd minute to hand Nigeria a 2-1 win.
The two teams are preparing for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica next month.
