Ghana saw a huge plummet in the latest ranking released by World soccer governing body, FIFA.
Ghana are now placed 37th on the World stage and slipped into fourth place on the continent behind Ivory Coast, Algeria and Cape Verde. The rankings table on Thursday showed that Ghana have 733 points.
Spain maintained top spot on the summit followed by Argentina, Germany and Colombia, who also maintained their positions in the top ten.
Cape Verdes resurgence on the ranking continued as they climbed into third place with 799 points, Ivory Coast dropped eight places from 17th to 23rd on the global stage but kept hold of their top spot on the continent. Cameroon sits in the 46th spot closely followed by African Champions Nigeria who are 47th with 616 points.
RANKINGS FOR WORLD (top 10): Spain, Argentina, Germany, Portugal, Colombia, Switzerland, Uruguay, Italy, Brazil, and Netherlands.
RANKINGS AFRICA (top 10): Ivory Coast, Algeria, Cape Verde, Ghana, Egypt, Tunisia, Cameroon, Nigeria, Mali, Burkina Faso.
