Medeama SC thrash Maghreb de Fez in Confederation Cup

Medeama produced an amazing performance to sweep aside challenge from Moroccan side, Maghreb de Fez, in their Confederations Cup tie played at the Essipong Sports Stadium, game ended 3-0 in favour of the home side.

Medeama took the lead in the 30th minute through midfielder Malik Akowuah who headed home from a Micheal Helegbe corner.

The afternoon got worse for the visitors on the 46th minute after striker Kabiru Moro scored Medeama’s second.

Theophilus Annorbah could have made it three early in the second half, but his shot from the penalty spot grazed the crossbar.

Kwame Boahene wrapped up the scoring with a composed finish in the 74th minute to give Medeama a three goal cushion ahead of the return encounter.
