Berekum Chelsea made little use of their home advantage at the Golden City Park, as they drew 1-1 with Ahly Benghazi of Libyan.

The visitors made numerous incursions into the half of Chelsea in the opening stages of the game. Chelsea, however looked lethargic and uncomfortable going forward, game ended barren at the interval.

Solomon Jabason was left unmarked in the penalty box, the striker headed in from a corner to give the visitors an all-important away goal.

Berekum Chelsea got the equalizer through substitute Obed Owusu in injury time.

The result puts the Libyan side in good position ahead of the second leg, Berekum Chelsea will need a win to secure qualification into the next phase of the competition.
