Majeed has no ‘Waris’ at all going into this year’s World Cup. Or so it may seem. He has carried on with his good scoring form. Kwadwo Asamoah scored a beautiful individual goal that handed his side the win. After having a spat in the Ghana-Montenegro game, Jordan Ayew’s week ended badly after he was sent off after kicked out at the Monaco defender Andrea Raggi.

In the Championship, Emmanuel Frimpong came on in the 77th minute as Barnsley recorded an important 1-0 home win against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

 

In the League One, Curtis Obeng scored an own goal as Stevenage beat Tranmere Rovers 3-1 at home on Saturday.

 

In the League Two, Patrick Agyemang came on in the 83rd minute as Portsmouth drew 0-0 at home with Cheltenham Town on Saturday.

 

Italy

In the Serie A, Sulley Muntari played 71 minutes, Michael Essien came on in the 57th minute as AC Milan lost 0-1 away at Udinese on Saturday. Emmanuel Agyemang Badu came on in the 85th minute for the hosts.

Kwadwo Asamoah scored the stunning winner for Juventus who hosted and beat Fiorentina 1-0 at home on Sunday.

Isaac Cofie came on in the 46th minute as Genoa lost 1-2 away to his former club Chievo on Saturday. Cofie was shown a 72nd-minute yellow card.

Afriyie Acquah came on in the 83rd minute as Parma beat Hellas Verona 2-0 at home on Saturday.

Raman Chibsah played the entirety of Sassuolo's 0-0 away draw with Bologna on Saturday.

 

In the Serie B, Masahudu Alhassan played the entire game as Latina went away and beat Bescia 2-0 on Saturday.

Amidu Salifu played the entire game as Modena drew 2-2 away with Padova on Saturday. Was shown a yellow card in the 52nd minute.

 

Germany

In the Bundesliga, Kevin-Prince Boateng played the entire game and provided the assist for the third goal as Schalke 04 beat Hoffenheim 4-0 at home on Saturday.

Karim Bellarabi played the entire game as Eintracht Braunschweiger drew 2-2 away at Stuttgart on Saturday.

 

In the 3.Liga, Phil Ofosu-Ayeh played 57 minutes as MSV Duisburg lost 0-1 away at Darmstadt 98 on Friday.

 

France

In the Ligue 1, Andre Dede Ayew played the first 44 minutes as Olympique de Marseille lost 0-1 at home to Nice on Friday, who has won only once in seven matches before this game.

Jordan Ayew was shown a straight red card in the 85th minute as Sochaux lost 1-2 away to Monaco on Saturday.

Abdul Majeed Waris scored the winner (a rebound after missing the penalty) and provided the assist for the first goal as Valenciennes beat John Boye's Rennes 2-1 at home on Saturday. Boye came on in the 77th minute.

 

In the Ligue 2, Young defender Dennis Appiah played the entire game as Caen drew 1-1 away with Le Havre on Friday.

 

Spain

In the La Liga, Richmond Boakye Yiadom came on in the 62nd minute as Elche lost 1-3 away at Espanyol on Saturday.

 

Belgium

In the Pro League, Bennard Yao Kumordzi played the entire game as KRC Genk hosted and beat RAEC Mons 3-1 on Saturday.

Abraham Kudemor came on in the 88th minute as Sporting Charleroi drew 1-1 at home with Lierse on Saturday.

Nana Kwesi Asare (73 minutes) scored the opener for Gent who went away and thrashed Cercle Brugge 4-1 on Saturday.

Eugene Ansah came on in the 61st minute as Lokeren drew 0-0 at home with Waasland-Beveren on Saturday.

               

Cyprus

In the 1.Division, Carlos Ohene came on in the 59th minute as AEL Limassol went away to beat bottom Alki 3-0 on Saturday.

Razak Nuhu played the entire game and helped Apollon Limassol to a 3-0 home defeat of AEK Larnaca on Saturday.

 

Greece

Eric Warden came on in the 62nd minute as Levadiakos hosted and beat Panaitolikos 2-1 at home on Saturday.

Aziz Tetteh scored the only goal for Platanias who went away and lost 1-3 to Apollon Smirnis on Saturday.

 

Finland

Gideon Baah played the entirety of HJK Helsinki's 3-1 away win over Inter Turku in the Finnish League Cup on Saturday.

 

Netherlands

In the Eredivisie, Kwame Quansah came on in the 22nd minute as Heracles Almelo walloped 4-0 away at Stichting AZ on Saturday.

Christian Atsu (61 minutes) provided the assist for the winner as Vitesse Arnhem went away to beat NAC Breda 2-1 on Saturday.

 

South Africa

In the PSL, Mohammed Abdul Basit played the entire game as Free State Stars drew 1-1 at home with Ajax Cape Town on Saturday. Daniel Agyei still recuperating.

Fatau Dauda was on the bench for Orlando Pirates who lost 0-1 away at Pretoria University on Saturday.

John Arwuah played 90 minutes as AmaZulu lost 0-2 at home to Rashid Sumaila's (90 minutes) Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.

 

Sweden

Nasiru Mohammed came on in the 74th minute as BK Hacked recorded a 4-1 away win over Sandviken in the Swedish Cup (Svenska Cupen) on Saturday.

David Accam (90 minutes) scored the fourth goal, Ema Boateng played 72 minutes as Helsingborg beat Torslanda 5-0 away in the Swedish Cup (Svenska Cupen) on Saturday. Accam was shown a yellow card in the 88th minute.

Mohammed Abubakari (90 minutes) and Emmanuel Dogbe (61 minutes) helped Åtvidaberg to a 2-2 away draw with Carlstad United in the Swedish Cup (Svenska Cupen) on Saturday.

Tom Boakye played the entire game as Östersunds FK lost 2-5 away to Öster in the Svenska Cupen on Saturday.
