Kabiru Moro inspired his Medeama side to a 2-1 victory over Hearts of Oak in their outstanding league clash at the Tarkwa T&A Park.
The striker’s injury time header sealed all three maximum points for the Mauves, a result which will see them climb up the league table.
It was the visiting team who got the breakthrough after 20 minutes courtesy Emmanuel Hayford; scoring one of the best goals of the season. Godbless Asamoah responded well with an overhead kick to put the game level.
The game sprung to life in the second half with the visitors having the early advantage; Isaac Mensah missed a gilt-edged chance to open up a two-goal cushion for Hearts after he failed to score with the keeper at his mercy.
Medeama begun to edge their way into the game; Collins Akowuah, Godbless Asamoah and Kabiru Moro found spaces in the box of the Phobians but failed to find the back of the net.
Relief finally came through with six minutes to end proceedings, when Kabiru Moro leaped to nod the ball past Philemon McCarthy in goal for Hearts.
