Mpong saves day for Kotoko






League leaders, Asante Kotoko produced an impressive second half fight to pick a point from their clash against FC Berekum at the Golden City Park.

FC Berekum scored through Attakora Gyimah in the first and continued to push for the second but heroics from Joseph Addo and his defence men kept the game at 1-0.

Kotoko returned with an improved performance and soon pulled parity through diminutive winger Richard Mpong four minutes into the half.

Kotoko remain on top of the league summit with a 47 points, they are 9 points clear of second place Hearts of Oak.

Augustine Ocran continued his fine goal scoring form for Bechem United, as they shared spoils at home with Inter Allies.  Inter Allies have moved to 14th place with 25 points on the league table.

Heart of Lions defeated New Edubiase at the Kpando Stadium by a solitary goal courtesy Razak Mohammed.

Lions lie in third place with just a point behind Hearts of Oak, Edubiase on the other hand have a point haul of 30 and sit in 8th place.

On Saturday Sekondi Hasaacas proved a handful for Wa All Stars as they comfortably brushed them aside by three unanswered goals.
