In front of an angry set of home fans, Andre Ayew stepped up to the plate and scored three goals that ended Marseilles four-game winless run and appeased the fans. It seemed like an Ayew affair as Jordan Ayew also scored for Sochaux.

Abdul Majeed Waris continued his great form after returning for a short injury spell. But it was a mixed feeling as he scored a goal but missed a late penalty that could have earned Valenciennes a much-needed point.

He has struggled to get games but it was Richmond Boakye Yiadom who turned saviour as he came off the bench to grab a late winner for Elche.

This weekend's goal scorers.
