Ghanaian Players Abroad – 9-11 May, 2014: Gyan can't stop; Jordan keeps Sochaux afloat...again; Otoo on target

Many Ghanaians were on the scoresheet this weekend. Asamoah Gyan can't stop scoring. He grabbed his 101st goal since moving to the UAE, 29 goals in 26 league games this season and his 6th converted penalty.

Jordan Ayew's goal gave hope for Sochaux as they fight the drop. Agyemang-Badu's late goal earned his side a point. Mubarak Wakaso was on target, Mahatma Otoo...and the list goes on.

In the Serie A, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (on in the 87th min) scored a 91st-minute equaliser as Udinese drew 2-2 away with Hellas Verona on Saturday.

Sulley Muntari played 76 minutes as AC Milan lost 1-2 away at Atalanta on Sunday.

Alfred Duncan played 62 minutes as relegated Livorno lost 0-1 at home to Fiorentina on Sunday.

Afriyie Acquah played the entire game as Parma drew 1-1 away at Torino on Sunday. 89th-minute yellow card.

Kwadwo Asamoah played the entire game as Juventus went away to beat Roma 1-0 on Sunday.

 

In the Serie B, Amidu Salifu played the first 45 minutes as Modena beat Novara 3-1 at home on Saturday.

Masahudu Alhassan played the entire game as Latina beat Ternana 2-0 at home on Saturday.

 

Germany

In the Bundesliga, Kevin-Prince Boateng played the entire game as Schalke 04 hosted and beat Nürnberg 4-1 on Saturday. Anthony Annan was unused for the hosts.

Karim Bellarabi played the entire game as bottom Eintracht Braunschweiger lost 1-3 away at Hoffenheim on Saturday.

 

In the 2 Bundesliga, Abdul Baba Rahman came on in the 84th minute as Greuther Fürth hosted and beat Sandhausen 2-0 on Sunday.

 

In the 3Liga, Phil Ofosu-Ayeh played the entire game as MSV Duisburg lost 0-1 at home to Preußen Münster on Saturday.

 

France

In the Ligue 1, Andre Ayew played the entire game as Marseille drew 1-1 away with Bordeaux on Saturday.

Jonathan Mensah came on in the 62nd minute as Evian TG hosted and beat Nice 2-0 on Saturday.

John Boye played the entire game, Jordan Ayew scored Sochaux's opener as Rennes lost 1-2 at home on Saturday and Sochaux keep their survival hopes alive. Ayew was shown a 52nd-min yellow card.

Abdul Majeed Waris played the entire game as relegated Valenciennes lost 1-2 at home to Monaco on Saturday.

 

In the Ligue 2, Dennis Appiah played the entire game as Caen lost 1-3 at home to Tours on Friday.

In the La Liga, Richmond Boakye Yiadom came on in the 78th minute as Elche drew 0-0 at home with Barcelona on Sunday.

 

Netherlands

In the Eredivisie, Vitesse Player of the Year Christian Atsu played the entire game as Vitesse Arnhem lost 1-4 at home to Groningen on Saturday.


Belgium

In the Pro League, Daniel Opare played the entire game as Standard Liège lost 0-1 at home to Club Brugge on Sunday.

Frank Acheampong came on in the 82nd minute as Anderlecht hosted and beat Genk 4-0 at home on Sunday.

 

Czech Republic

In the Czech Liga, Francis Narh played 60 minutes as Baník Ostrava beat Vysočina Jihlava 3-1 at home on Saturday. He earned 52nd-minute yellow card.

 

Denmark

In the Superliga, Francis Dickoh played the entire game as Midtjylland lost 2-3 at home to 10-man København on Sunday.


Norway

In the Eliteserien, Mahatma Otoo scored the equaliser as Sogndal beat IK Start 2-1 at home on Sunday. Ernest Asante came on in the 78th minute for Start.

Enock Kofi Adu scored the second goal (penalty) as Stabæk beat Sarpsborg 08 3-2 at home on Sunday.

Adam Kwarasey conceded twice, Mohammed Abu played the entire game as Strømsgodset drew 2-2 away with Molde on Sunday.

In the Premier Division, Prince Agyemang played the entire game as Limerick lost 0-1 away at Bray Wanderers on Friday. Ali Abbas (GK) was on the bench.

In the Premier League, Mubarak Wakaso scored his side's opener as Rubin Kazan' went away to beat Krylya Sovetov 4-0 on Saturday.

Rabiu Mohammed came on in the 62nd minute as Kuban' Krasnodar lost 1-2 away at Ural on Saturday.

 

South Africa

In the PSL, Mohammed Abdul Basit (on in the 46th minute) scored his side's first two goals as Free State Stars went away to beat Moroka Swallows 3-0 on Saturday. Daniel Agyei was on the bench.

John Arwuah played the entire game as AmaZulu lost 0-3 away at Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

Yakubu Mohammed came on in the 87th minute as Maritzburg United drew 1-1 at home with title winners Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday. Rashid Sumaila did not take part in the game.

In the Arabian Gulf League, Asamoah Gyan's 90+5th-minute goal (from the penalty spot) clinched the win for Al Ain who went away to Al Wasl on Friday. 101 goals and counting...

In the MLS, Patrick Nyarko (68 minutes) scored the winning goal as Chicago Fire went away to beat New York Red Bulls 5-4 on Sunday.
