The senior women’s soccer team, Black Queens defeated their South African counterparts by a goal to nil in an International friendly played on Sunday.
Portia Boakye's second half strike settled the contest at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto. The game was a preparatory one ahead of their African Women’s Championship qualifier against Ethiopia.
Both sides failed to get out of their blocks in the first half, creating just a handful of goal scoring opportunities.
The Queens, led by Coach Yusif Basigi will be in Addis Ababa for the first leg of the AWC qualifier this weekend.
