Kumasi Asante Kotoko were on Sunday crowned Champions of the 2014 First Capital Plus Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.
Despite a stalemate with arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak, scenes from the venue showed the Porcupine Warriors reveled in their new found fame.
The game was thrilling with unrelenting pace from both teams, Kotoko were threatening but Hearts looked more dangerous on the break.
Kotoko have now won their third straight trophy,for the Phobians a point is enough for continental club competition next season.
Asiedu Attabroh scored a brace in the second half to give Edubiase FC a 2-1 win over Wa All Stars in the penultimate round of matches in the First Capital Premier League.
All Stars scored first through Abdul Ganiyu in the first half; the player expertly converted from the penalty spot to swing the advantage in All Stars favor.
Edubiase FC started well in the second half, their dominance soon paid off through Asiedu Attobrah who found the back of the net twice to hand them an all important victory.
The win ensures Edubiase move to 9th position on the league standings with 39 points, All Stars dropped to 6th place with a point total of 40.
