Ghana defender Daniel Opare has finally completed his switch to Portuguese outfit FC Porto from Standard Liege.
The former Real Madrid player who had been previously linked with a move to England and Spain looked to have found solace with the Portuguese giants on a free transfer.
A statement on Porto’s official twitter account read: Daniel Opare, #GHA international who was at the #WorldCup #Brazil2014, was at Olival earlier today! Welcome! #FCPorto.
The 23-year-old virtually confirmed his departure from Standard Liege weeks before the commencement of the World Cup.
He started his Club career in Ghana with Obuasi Ashanti Gold FC before moving to CS Sfaxien in Tunisia he went on to play for Real Madrid Castilla after his exploits at the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in South Korea.
Opare featured for the Black Stars at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
