Executive and brands manager of Inter Allies football club, Delali Senaya, has refuted claims made by former head coach Herbert Addo, that club’s selling policy led to his decision not to renew the contract he had with the club.
The MTN FA cup runners up, parted ways with the 2009 Ghana Premier League wining coach of the year, after just six months in charge.
The Coach's tenure at the club can be described as a successful one, after leading the team to the final of the MTN FA Cup and also virtually dragging the team from bottom place at the end of the first round to a 6th place finish.
Despite the success chalked at the club, the former Aduana Stars and Hearts of Oak trainer opted not to extend his stay with the Tema based club, attributing his decision to leave to the selling policy of the club.
But in an interview with Radio Universe Sports, the Clubs Executive and brands manager refuted the claims saying, “Teams like Hearts and a host of others have all sold players after the season ended. Herbert is a good coach by all standards and his tenure with as was by far successful but to say he left because of our transfer policy is not true, I think he left for the numbers elsewhere.”
He also confirmed the clubs appointment of former Asante Kotoko and Ashgold coach, Yaw Acheampong as their new head coach.
