Ghana International Jordan Ayew has completed his switch form Marseille to fellow French Ligue 1 side FC Lorient.
The 22 year old striker completed his medicals on Monday afternoon, before sealing a four year deal with them for an undisclosed fee, Lorient confirmed via the official twitter feed.
Ayew joins the seaport side after Marseille coach Marcelo Bielsa declared him surplus to requirement in the up-coming season.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Sochaux where he scored 5 goals in 17 appearances.
His move to Lorient brings an end to his 8 year stint with Marseille, a club he joined at the age of 15.
"It was not a difficult choice because this is a fantastic and progressive club. The club is ambitious and they have a great structure."
"This is the perfect place for me, and I am really looking forward to joining the squad and continue in this competitive championship [Ligue 1].
"All I want to do is give my best to the club and hopefully it will be a successful time for everyone associated with the team”, Ayew was quoted as saying in an interview with BBC Sport.
He will don the number 11 jersey at his new club, the same Jersey number he wore at Marseille.
