Leveled at the top with the same number of points, Havedzi Mighty Warriors and Keta Sunset Sports will continue in their serge to find who emerges champion in the third season of the Cal Bank Beach Soccer League.
With just five more games to wrap up the season, both sides know that a slip will virtually mean losing a chance of annexing the crown.
Champions Sunset Sports find themselves in a tricky duel, going up against fifth place Wuo Gbee. The leaders coming at the back of their 7-2 trouncing of Gulf Powers will be very high in spirits, buoyant about extending their six match winning streak to seven. The La based clubs will also be gunning to sneak into the top four having dropped down the log in recent weeks.
Second place Havedzi Mighty Warriors continually looking for a window to leapfrog their rivals to the top, will have to pick up the points against low lying La Yoca and also hope results go their way. The Volta giants despite racking up the wins have shipped way too many goals pushing them to second on the table on goal difference.
They will have to put that in check if they have any plans of dethroning their rivals Sunset Sports. Their opponents, La Yoca started the season brightly but they have looked jaded as the weeks drop by, they certainly won’t go down without a fight but the game should be another three points secured in the bag for the Volta giants.
With the Volta giants battling it out for the top spot, the two surprise packages are also slugging it out for the third and fourth place slot. Just like the battle for the top spot they are also leveled on the same points tally at third and fourth respectively.
East Legon Sharks and debutants Gulf Powers have been the surprise package of the campaign thus far, and will do battle with each other. With the sharks recently get back to winning ways and the Powers coming from a 7-2 trouncing in the hands of the leaders. It will be interesting to see who will edge out the other. A loss for either side will only be a blip in their excellent campaign so far.
Dansoman will take on already relegated Nima Bsc which should be a routine collection of three points for the sixth placed team, with Teshie United also involved in a similar tie with bottom on the log Ada Assurance.
In the Division one, Leaders Nungua United gunning for promotion face Tegbi Youth with second place Golden Eagles taking on Chokor Blue Whales.
