Ghanaian Players Abroad – 25-27 October: Assifuah, Otoo and others on the scoresheet

Agoronet brings you another comprehensive round up of Ghanaians and their performances for their various clubs outside Ghana, over the weekend.

Mahatma Otoo finally got his first goal for Sogndal, Ishmael Yartey also got his for Sion and many others.

Daniel Opare (Belgium) and Dominic Oduro (USA) were the ‘black sheep’ of the pack, receiving their marching orders.

In the Championship, Albert Adomah grabbed a brace, the first two of his side's 4-0 home win over Doncaster Rovers on Friday. He was subbed out in the 90th minute.

Jeffery Schlupp came on in the 86th minute as Leicester City beat AFC Bournemouth 2-1 at home on Saturday.


In the League One, Abdul Osman lasted the entire game as Crewe Alexandra lost 1-3 away to Sheffield United on Saturday.


In League Two, Jo Kuffour played 74 minutes as Wycombe Wanderers lost 1-2 to Bury FC at home on Saturday.

Patrick Agyemang played the entire game of Portsmouth's 1-1 away draw with Torquay United on Saturday.



In the Seria A, Alfred Duncan played 53 minutes of Livorno's 1-0 away loss to Bologna on Sunday.

Kwadwo Asamoah was fouled for the penalty, which Vidal scored, and provided the assist for Tevez's goal as Juventus beat Isaac Cofie's Genoa 2-0 at home. Cofie was an unused sub.

Sulley Muntari sat out AC Milan's 2-3 away loss to Afriyie Acquah's Parma on Sunday. Acquah was also an unused sub.

Emmanuel Agyemang Badu lasted the entire game as Udinese lost 1-0 at home to Roma on Sunday.


In the Serie B, Amidu Salifu played 90 minutes as Modena lost 1-2 away to Nii Nortey Ashong's Spezia on Saturday. Ashong came on in the 79th minute.



In the La Liga, Richmond Boakye Yiadom came on in the 56th minute as Elche lost 1-0 to Granada at home. He suffered a concussion after he came out the worst from a clash with Granada centre back Jeison Murillo on Saturday.


In the Sergunda B, Richard Boateng played the entire game, with Mohammed Fatau playing 78 minutes as Granada II beat Sevilla II 2-0 at home on Friday.



In the Ligue 1, Andre Ayew lasted the entire game, providing the assist for Olympique Marseille's first goal but they eventually lost 2-3 to Reims at home on Saturday. Jordan came on in the 75th minute.


In the Ligue 2, Kwame N'Sor came on in the 60th minute as Metz beat Angers 1-0 at home on Friday.



In the Bundesliga, Kevin-Prince Boateng played 82 minutes as Schalke lost 1-3 to Borussia Dortmund in the Revierderby on Saturday. He missed a penalty in the 30th minute.


In 2.Bundesliga, Charles Takyi played the whole game as Energie Cottbus lost 0-1 away to Dynamo Dresden on Sunday.


In 3.Liga, Phil Ofosu Ayeh played the entire match as MSV Duisburg went away and drew 1-1 to Stuttgart II on Saturday.



In the Eredevisie, Kwame Quansah helped Heracles to a 2-1 away win over Feyenoord on Sunday. Matthew Amoah returned to the team sheet but was an unused sub.

Christian Atsu played 81 minutes as Vitesse Arnhem drew 2-2 at home with Groningen on Sunday.



In the Pro League, Nana Kwesi Asare played the entirety of Gent's 1-1 home draw with Cercle Brugge on Friday. He received a yellow card in the 72nd minute.

Abdul Yakinu Iddi came on in the 89th minute and gave an assist for the last goal just a minute later as Mechelen beat OH Leuven 4-1 at home on Saturday.

Bennard Yao Kumordzi played the last 5 minutes of Genk's 2-0 away win over Club Brugge. Enock Adu was an unused sub for the hosts.

Daniel Opare was red-carded in the 57th minute as Standard Liège drew 1-1 away with Frank Acheampong's Anderlecht on Sunday.



In the 1. Division, Richard Kingson was in post and conceded six goals as Doxa were thrashed 6-0 at home by Omonia Nicosia on Saturday.



Kolja Afriyie came on in the 46th minute but Nordsjælland lost 1-2 away to Midtjylland on Saturday.



In the Super League, Abdul Aziz Tetteh helped Platanias to a 2-1 away victory over Aris on Sunday.



In the NB I, Aaron Addo Dankwah's Kaposvári Rákóczi lost 1-3 away at Pécsi MFC on Sunday.



In the Premier League, Patrick Twuamsi played 85 minutes and scored the winner for Astana. Astana beat leaders Aktobe 1-0 at home on Sunday.

Daniel Addo helped Kairat to a 2-1 away win over Shakhter Karagandy on Sunday.



In the Virsliga, Michael Ofosu-Appiah helped leaders Skonto to a 2-1 home win over Liepajas Metalurgs on Friday.



In the Eliteserien, King Osei Gyan played the entirety of Viking's 1-3 home loss to Aalesund on Friday.

Mahatma Otoo scored the first of Sogndal's 2-1 home win over Sandnes Ulf on Sunday. This was his first goal after 8 games.

Adam Larsen Kwarasey kept a clean sheet as Strømsgodset beat Ernest Asante's Start 1-0 at home on Sunday. Asante played 87 minutes.



Sulley Muniru played the entire game as CFR Cluj drew 0-0 at home with Seidu Yahaya's Astra Giurgiu on Saturday. Yahaya was red-carded in the 77th minute. Uriah Asante was an unused sub for Astra Giurgiu.



In the Premier League, Mubarak Wakaso played 56 minutes as Rubin Kazan' lost 1-2 to Lokomotiv Moskva at home on Sunday.


South Africa

In the PSL, Rashid Sumaila played 90 minutes as Mamelodi Sundowns lost 1-0 away to Polokwane City on Saturday.

Yakubu Mohammed scored Maritzburg United's first goal as they went away to beat AmaZulu 2-0 on Sunday. Mohammed Awal played the whole game while Frank Sarfo-Gyamfi lasted 73 minutes.

Daniel Agyei conceded two goals as Free State Stars were beaten 2-0 at home by Wits University (Bidvest Wits) on Sunday. So far, Agyei has conceded 6 goals in the seven games he has played in (won 2, lost 3, drawn 2).

Edwin Gyimah played the entire game as his SuperSport United drew 1-1 at home with John Arwuah's Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday.



In the Swedish Allsvenskan, Nasiru Mohammed's Häcken were beaten 3-1 at home by Halmstad on Friday. He was subbed out in the 72nd minute.

Ibrahim Moro was replaced by Ebenezer Ofori in the 66th minute as AIK went away and thrashed Brommapojkarna 6-0 on Saturday. Swedish-born Ghanaian Robin Quaison came off the bench to score the last of the six goals.

Yussif Chibsah and Daniel Amartey both played the entirety of Djurgården's 1-1 home draw with Joachim Adukor's Gelfe on Sunday. Adukor came on in the 91st minute while Godsway Donyoh was an unused sub for the hosts. Zakaria Abdullai was also an unused sub for Gefle.

David Accam played the whole of Helsingborg's 2-3 loss at home to Kalmar on Sunday. Ema Boateng came off the bench in the 56th minute.

Mohammed Abubakari scored the equaliser for Åtvidaberg but they eventually lost 1-4 away to Syrianska FC on Sunday. Emmanuel Dogbe was unused.


In the Superettan, Thomas Boakye played the entire game, Samuel Mensah was replaced in the 46th minute as Östersunds fell to a 1-2 loss at home to Värnamo on Saturday.



In the Super League, Samuel Afum played 60 minutes of Young Boys' 3-0 home win over Aarau on Saturday.

Ebenezer Assifuah-Inkoom scored the first goal (13') with Ishmael Yartey (90') getting the second as FC Sion beat Grasshopper 2-0 at home. Assifuah has now scored twice in 5 games and Yartey, his first in 8 games.



Süper Lig, Jerry Akaminko played the entirety of Eskişehirspor's 4-1 deafeat of Rizespor at home on Sunday.


In the 1. Lig, Shaibu Yakubu was replaced in the 69th minute as 1461 Trabzon played a 0-0 home draw with Ankaraspor on Saturday.

Kwame Amponsah Karikari came on in the 69th minute as Balikesirspor beat Bucaspor 2-0 at home on Saturday.

Emmanuel Banahene's 81st minute goal was all that Şanlıurfaspor needed to record a 1-0 away win over Gaziantep BB on Sunday.


United Arab Emirates

Asamoah Gyan helped Al Ain to a 1-1 away draw with Al Wahda on Friday, lasting the entire game.

Emmanuel Clottey lasted 63 minutes in Al Dhafra's 1-1 home draw with Al Jazira on Friday.

In the MLS, Khalif Alhassan came on in the 56th minute as Portland Timbers went away and romped over Chivas USA, thrashing them 5-0 on Sunday.

Dominic Oduro was red-carded in the 91st minute as Columbus Crew lost 1-0 at home to New England on Sunday.

Patrick Nyarko played 61 minutes as Chicago Fire lost 2-5 away to New York Red Bulls on Sunday.
