Ghanaian Players Abroad – 1-3 November: Jordan, Assifuah, Afful score; Jonathan Mensah returns

Agoronet brings you another comprehensive round up of Ghanaians and their performances for their various clubs, outside Ghana.

Among the top leagues around the world, five Ghanaians were on the score sheets this weekend.

Jordan Ayew (Marseille), Shadrach Paa Kwesi Eghan (FC Twente), Patrick Twumasi (Astana, Kazakhstan), Ebenezer Assifuah-Inkoom (FC Sion) and Harrison Afful (ES Tunis).

Jonathan Mensah also returned after weeks off with an injury and will be a boost for the Black Stars.

In the English Premiership, Derek Boateng was an unused sub as Fulham lost 1-3 at home to Manchester United on Saturday.

Michael Essien was not named in the Chelsea team that lost 2-0 to Newcastle at home on Saturday.


In the Championship, Jeffrey Schlupp (90 mins) helped Leicester City to a 3-0 away win over Watford on Saturday.

Albert Adomah played 85 mins as Middlesbrough lost 1-0 away to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.


In the League One, Abdul Osman came on in the 88th minute as Crewe Alexandra drew 0-0 with Bradford City at home on Saturday.


In the League Two, Patrick Agyemang (76 mins) helped Portsmouth to a 3-2 home victory against Exeter City on Saturday.



In the Seria A, Kwadwo Asamoah (90 mins) helped Juventus to a 1-0 away win over Afriyie Acquah's Parma on Saturday. Acquah was an unused sub.

Sulley Muntari lasted 69 mins as AC Milan succumbed to a shock 2-0 home defeat to Fiorentina on Saturday.

Alfred Duncan came on in the 78th minute as Livorno beat Atalanta 1-0 at home on Sunday.

Isaac Cofie played the entire game as Genoa went away to beat Lazio 2-0 on Sunday.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu lasted the entire duration of Udinese's 0-3 home loss to FC Internazionale Milano on Sunday.


In the Serie B, Moro Alhassan was subbed out in the 43rd minute as Cesena drew 1-1 at home with Terni, on Friday. He was yellow-carded in the 10th minute.

Masahudu Alhassan helped Latina to a 1-0 home victory over Reggina, on Friday.



In the Ligue 1, Jordan Ayew scored a 16th-minute goal to earn Marseille a 1-1 away draw with Rennes on Saturday.

Jonathan Mensah made an injury return, playing 66 minutes of Evian TG's 2-1 home win over Toulouse on Saturday.


In the Ligue 2, Kwame Nsor helped Metz to a 2-1 away victory over Istres, on Friday. He came on in the 50th minute and was yellow-carded in the 68th minute.



In the Bundesliga, Kevin-Prince Boateng, on his return to his hometown of Berlin, played 87 minutes of Schalke 04's 2-0 away defeat of Hertha BSC on Saturday.

Karim Bellarabi played the entire game as Eintracht Braunschweiger beat Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 at home on Saturday.


In the 2. Bundesliga, Charles Takyi played the first 45 minutes of Energie Cottbus' 1-0 home loss to Bochum, on Friday.

Abdul Baba Rahman played the entire game as Greuther Fürth beat Erzgebirge Aue 6-1 away on Saturday.



In the Eredivisie, Mitch Apau played 90 minutes as RKC Waalwijk beat Jeffrey Sarpong's (69 mins) NAC Breda, on Friday.

Christian Atsu played 83 minutes as Vitesse Arnhem went away to beat Ajax 1-0 on Saturday. Vitesse now top the Eredivisie table.

Shadrach Paa Kwesi Eghan (66 mins) opened the scoring for FC Twente in the 23rd minute but they drew 2-2 at home with NEC on Saturday.



In the Pro League, Frank Acheampong came on in the 85th minute as Anderlecht beat OH Leuven 3-1 at home on Saturday.

Abdul Yakinu Iddi came on in the 77th minute as Mechelen drew 2-2 at home with Zulte-Waregem on Saturday. Iddi was yellow-carded in the 84th minute.

Bennard Yao Kumordzi (90 mins) helped Genk to a 3-2 away defeat of Mons on Saturday.

Nana Kwesi Asare's (90 mins) Gent suffered a 0-1 home loss to Daniel Opare's (90 mins) Standard Liège on Sunday. Liège now to the Pro League.

Eugene Ansah came on in the 85th minute as Lokeren were beaten 1-0 away at Enoch Kofi Adu's Club Brugge on Sunday. Adu was not named for the game.



In the 1. HNL, Lee Addy featured for Dinamo Zagreb, who went away and recorded a 3-0 victory against Lokomotiva on Saturday.



In the 1. Division, Richard Kingson conceded once as Doxa beat AE Kouklion 3-1 at home on Saturday, to bounce back from the humiliating 6-0 defeat against Omonia Nicosia.



In the Superliga, Dominic Oduro (58 mins) helped AGF to a 2-1 home win against Viborg on Sunday.

Kolja Afriyie's Midtjylland (leaders) beat Davidson Drobo-Ampem's Esbjerg 3-0 at home on Sunday.



In the Super League, Aziz Tetteh played 90 minutes in Platanias' 1-0 away loss to PAS Giannina on Saturday.



In the Premier League, Patrick Twumasi (80 mins) scored Astana's third goal as they went away to beat Shakhter Karagandy 4-1 on Saturday.

Daniel Addo was in action for Kairat, who recorded a 3-2 away win against Irtysh on Saturday.



In the Virsliga, Michael Ofosu-Appiah came off the bench in the 63rd minute as Skonto FC beat Spartaks Jurmala 3-2 away on Saturday.



In the Eliteserien, Mahatma Otoo (90 mins) and Gilbert Koomson (on in the 70th minute) were in action as Sogndal lost 1-3 away to bottom-placed Hønefoss on Sunday.

Adam Larsen Kwarasey was in post as leaders Strømsgodset dropped points, drawing 0-0 away with bottom Tromsø on Sunday.

Ernest Asante played 72 minutes as Start beat Lillestrøm 1-0 at home on Sunday.



In the Primeira Liga, Alhassan Wakaso (90 minutes) helped Rio Ave to a 1-0 away win over Sporting Braga.



In the Premier League, Mubarak Wakaso played 45 minutes in Rubin Kazan's 0-0 away draw with Rostov on Sunday.

In the PSL, John Arwuah's (90 mins) Bloemfontein Celtic drew 0-0 at home with Yakubu Mohammed's (83 mins) Maritzburg United on Sunday.

Edwin Gyimah played the entire game as SuperSport United were beaten 3-0 away by Platinum Stars on Sunday.



In the Swedish Allsvenskan, Daniel Amartey (90 mins) and Yussif Chibsah (on in 59th min) helped Djurgården to a 1-1 away draw with Öster on Sunday. Godsway Donyoh was unused.

David Accam (57 mins) and Ema Boateng (on in 62nd min) played in Helsingborg's 1-2 away loss to Ibrahim Moro (90 mins) and Ebenezer Ofori's (on in 76th min) AIK on Sunday.

Mohammed Abubakari played the entirety of Åtvidaberg's 2-2 home draw with Häcken on Sunday. Emmanuel Dogbe was unused for the home team.
