Substitute Emmanuel Agyemang scored in inury time as Ghana rolled to a 3-1 win over an impressive Guinean side in the 2015 AFCON qualifier at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Asamoah Gyan opened the score for the home side in the 14th minute after good work from Solomon Asante who was picked ahead of Christian Astu; he zipped infield from the right and treaded a pass through to Jordan Ayew, the striker unselfishly laid the ball to inrushing Gyan to tap in from close range.

The tide quickly swang in favour of the Syli National, the visitors began to move and keep the ball purposely.  Yattara Mohamed Lamine cancelled out Ghana’s lead in the 34th minute after defence men failed to clear their lines.

It was an extremely cagey first half, a fairly balanced game with both sides looking good.

Game ended 1-1 at the interval.

Guinea conceded the second goal in the 58th minute, Andre Ayew expertly converted from the spot after a deliberate hand ball by a Guinean defender.

Then, it was all Guinea after the goal, they charged forward with some good passing, their attack exploited Ghana’s rather porous defence but little end product.

Emmanuel Agyemang Badu settled the supporter’s nerves with seconds to end proceedings with a cool finish, after good work from Abdul Baba Rahman.

The Black Stars maintain top spot in Group E with 8 points from games, Togo move into second place with a 2-0 win over the Cranes of Uganda. Guinea and Uganda are tied at the bottom with 4 points apiece.
