Kweku Wusu Ansah, captain of Opoku Ware Senior High School is confident his side will win the 2014 Sprite Ball Championships.

The diminutive player said there has been steady progression in his side’s campaign at the championship; they won all three games in their group against KSTS, WASS and Mawuli School.

Ansah insists their growing confidence, understanding and team unity will win them the ultimate.

"The preliminary rounds have been very competitive, all teams prepared very well for the competition. We never believed we could go past the first round considering majority of the players on the team are first timers."

"But after our first victory over Mawuli, a sense of urgency set into our team, we then began to grow in confidence and we defeated WASS in the second game."

"As you saw for yourself, we were dominant against KSTS in our final game, we are going straight to the top, straight to the finals."

Further progression means they must go past Adisadel College in the quarter final stage.

"I'm not worried about the other teams, they have not seen my team play, we will keep growing in confidence and surprise everybody. Our understanding will drive us through." he added.
