It might not be the NBA or the Euro Leagues but the excitement at the Sprite sponsored basketball competition was mind-blowing.
Keta Senior High School were crowned champions of the 2014 Sprite Ball Basket Ball competition on Saturday night.
The team from the Volta region showed promise from the preliminary round, winning all three games. Their impressive run continued in the knockout phase with a 31-23 victory over free scoring Opoku Ware School.
In the final against Presec boys, the Keta lads commenced brighter and took a foothold of the game; they dominated and ended the first half with an eight point lead.
Presec boys' full-court-pressure-defense style could not stop Coach Boateng Kofi-Siaw's side. The game ended 28-14 for the Keta side.
Ketasco will head back home all smiles, as they have finally won the competition after three failed attempts.
