Mawuli School crashed out of the 2014 edition of the Sprite Ball after failing to win the required number of games.

The Mawulians entered the competition as one of the representatives from the Volta Region. They lost their first two games against Opoku Ware and KSTS, and a final group game win against WASS was not enough to secure a place in the quarter finals.

Azumah Divine, captain of Mawuli School said "Lady luck" was just not on their side and they have accepted the defeat in good faith.

"We played our hearts out on the court today, what can I say- we were unlucky not to have won against Opoku Ware and KSTS, we also failed to be consistent with our shots and lay-ups."

"The boys have accepted the loss, we are very disappointed. The plan was to qualify for the quarter-final but we could not.".

"We will go back home with the defeat as a motivation, we will work hard, hopefully we will do better next year".
